March 15 – So Here I Am
You aren’t very good at determining what other people want and need from you. No one is. We’re all as likely to hurt as to help.

I hate snow.
The hyssop was a tool that demonstrated that life can begin again after the tragedy of death has struck. It is a tool that washes what it touches so that those who have become unclean need not remain so forever.
Jesus is the only one who, once dead, raised Himself back to life. His visit to the grave was a short one. He was just making a delivery (my sin), and doing some vandalism (kicked down the gates) and theft (the keys).
“I met my father for the first time when I was 28 years old. I made up my mind that when I had children, my children were going to know who their father was.”
Sin is what comes out of disobedience to produce separation from God. It is us being at war with God. Whether it is something as drastic as murder or as commonplace as lying and pride, the causes and effects of these sins are the same.
All too often I get bogged down in the day to day of life and I’m only living from one problem, or task, or crisis to the next.
Sometimes the trouble we might be going through is actually a good thing. Sometimes God is giving us a short term hard lesson for our long term healing.
The lies we are told when it comes to giving…
What stories do our scars tell?
