If you shoot for the moon, you will land among the stars. If you shoot for the stars, you will land on the roof. If you shoot for the roof, you will land on the fence. If you shoot for the fence, you will never get off the ground.
Emotions are not truly good or bad things. The good and the evil are actually the stimuli that create the emotions as well as the response these emotions create.
How long have you been waiting on God? Is there something He has promised and it is beginning to seem as though He forgot? Is there a promise that was made so long ago that you have given up on that dream?
Why do we need to go anywhere at all? Isn’t God everywhere? Can’t we just meet with Him anytime, anywhere?
Working hard for God is not legalism. It is not heresy. It is obedience.
Every society feels as though they have reached the pinnacle of moral philosophy and the cultural ideas they are trumpeting today are so much greater than the backward thinking of yesteryear.
We love heroic stands against overwhelming odds. We cheer on defiant charges against insurmountable opponents. Win, lose, or draw, facing the impossible is the stuff of which legends are born.
