Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it.
(Proverbs 11:27)
Relate: As a guy who grew up in a Christian family, I was surrounded by faith and church. But as I got older, I started questioning my beliefs and rebelled. I wanted to fit in and began drifting away from God, thinking I could live without Him. However, I soon realized that the emptiness I felt showed me something was missing. I decided to return to my faith, praying, reading the Bible, and going back to church. I learned that seeking goodness and staying close to God leads to peace and fulfillment. On the other hand, chasing after things that pull us away from God only leaves us feeling empty. Though I’m still learning and growing, I strive every day to live with kindness and integrity, trusting that focusing on what’s good and right will guide me closer to God.
React: “Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it.” As it is in the story I rebelled and drifted away from Christianity and after rebelling all I had was emptiness and evil that was still in me. As I came back to Christ my life began to go better and I was happy to praise God.
Respond:
Dear God
Thank you for this day and thank you for the things you have done for us. We sometimes do things that go against your ways and rebel against you. I pray that you will help us to get away from evil and come back to you. In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
