Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan,
and he hears my voice.
Psalm 55:17
Relate: Has there been a time where you thought there was no way out? There was a time when I was completely devastated by the struggles and the stress that the world offered me. I was suffering from the relationship problems that I had with one of my closest friends a few years ago. The struggle was so bad that I could not even live and think normally for a couple of months. But I can confidently say right now that the one who helped me overcome this hard moment of my life was God.
If you were born in a Christian family like me, then you would have been taught since childhood that God provides for everything you need, helps you when you need help, and ultimately, that God will always be with you and guide you through all the hard times in life and the temptations that this world offers you. When I had problems in my life, I thought that God would cease my pain and struggles right away if only I prayed and asked for help from Him just as I was taught. However, as days and weeks passed by, things did not seem to get better; they started becoming worse and worse. I thought that God was not the solution to my problem, so I began to stop praying and started straying away from God. I even began to doubt and complain to God for not helping me even after praying. I became more and more ungodly as time passed by. But God was with me even though I did not trust Him or ask Him for help. Eventually, I came back to God and started my prayer life again and began to spend more time in prayer and reading the Bible. After some time, the issue that had bothered me for a long time had disappeared.
React: God was with me the whole time and was listening to all my cries and complaints. Even though it seems God is not listening to your voice, He is always listening to everything you say and think. It took me a decent amount of time to realize this, but it is true. God is always with you and He knows and listens to all your struggles and your cryings. So even when things look very hard and even though you think that no one can help you when you experience something too overwhelming, just remember that God is always with you and He listens to every single word that you say.
Respond:
Dear God,
Please help us to remember that you are always faithful and that you are always with us every single minute of our lives. Even when the situation in life is hard and though it seems like there is no way out, you are always with us and you guide us through the dark moments in our lives. Thank you Lord for your unmerited love and support in our daily lives.
Amen.
