What Can Be Greater?

By: Gloria

Read: Exodus 15:19-17:7, Matthew 22:1-33, Psalm 27:1-6, Proverbs 6:20-26

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
(Psalm 27:1)

Relate: This is not just me, but I think that almost everyone has felt fear even though God exists in our lives. Also in my life, I have had burdens that the world gave me, and I’ve suffered from them even though I had the option to give them to God. I had the Almighty Father with me, but I was the one who didn’t seek Him. Even though he was always there for me, I would tend to fear and be exhausted.

Also, when I become helpless I tend to put the blame on God. I find myself asking, “Why is it so hard for me?” God is Almighty and He is my God, what could possibly be greater than Him? Nothing is greater than Him, and we are His children. The strongest pillar in the whole world is guiding us, we have nothing to fear.

React: In Psalm 27, David talks about how God is always with us. We are the ones that are not looking for Him sometimes. This makes us weak and we become vulnerable to this world. However, if we are aware that God is with us, we will have nothing to fear. He is able to do whatever we need of Him.

Respond:

Dear God,
I pray for everyone who is so desperate for your presence. I pray for everyone who is desperate for a touch of heaven. We are so ignorant that sometimes we forget all of the great things you did for us. We forget that you are with us. Please let us feel your presence, and fear nothing but only you.
Amen.
