So here it is. My last Christmas songs post. It is pretty much a given I won’t be posting tomorrow and I really, really hope you all have much better things to be doing tomorrow than reading anything I might have written anyways. So… MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Next to my computer I have kept a list of the 25 songs I picked way back at the beginning of this. I was really hoping I would be able to get all the way through this list. I had such great intentions. Then Aleppo happened. Then I got the flu. Then my internet went down for two days. Even as I write this youtube seems to still be blocked in Turkey and I had to jump on a vpn to load it. So now, although most of the songs on my list have been crossed out, there are quite a lot that have not. Isn’t that the way life works? We walk into something with such great intentions but by the end, there is still so much left undone. In a way, I feel like These December blogs were a downpayment on my New Year’s Resolutions.

But this is supposed to be a “Merry Christmas”. So I am not going to dwell on my imperfections or failures. The whole reason He came was to give us a new start. He came to take our failures on Himself and impute to us His perfection, but I know you aren’t here to read me. Not today. You’re here for the music.
