They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them.
But now they have no excuse for their sin. Anyone who hates me also hates my Father.
If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be guilty.
But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they still hate me and my Father.
This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures: ‘They hated me without cause.’ (John 15:22-25)
Read: Matthew 17:14 – 18:35, Mark 9:14-50, Luke 9:37-50
Relate: A false prophet once said, “God will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection in the same way (as they are gathered in this life), and they will say, ‘Let us ask someone to intercede for us with our Lord that He may relieve us from this place of ours.’ ” He claimed that at first these believers went to Abraham who said he was unworthy to intercede for them and sent them on to Moses. Moses also claimed to be unworthy and sent them on to Jesus. This false prophet then says, “They will go to Jesus who will say, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking, but you’d better go to Muhammad whose sins of the past and the future had been forgiven by God.”
There are few things that Jesus is unfit to do, and intercede for us is certainly not one of them. Jesus is the One and Only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5) and He is ever alive and making intercession for us. (Hebrews 7:25) For anyone else to claim to be more worthy than Jesus in this regard is nothing but blasphemy. In taking such prerogative on himself, it is too kind to simply call Muhammad a false prophet. He is really setting himself up as a false God.
React: It is a dangerous thing to claim to know Jesus, and yet not love and worship Him for who He truly is. It is to such people that Jesus is referring in John 15. There are those who will claim to love God, yet in reality that is not possible if you do not love Jesus. It is a part of the mystery of the Trinity that, although different, they are one and the same.
But before looking at others and saying they do not love Jesus, it is good to step back and look closely in the mirror. Jesus just finished saying, those who love me will obey me. (John 15:5,8,10) Are we demonstrating the love He has commanded us to show? Are we actively living and working to fulfill the Great Commission He has commanded of us. Are we really following Him if we aren’t going out into our world? Are you? Am I?
Respond:
Jesus, You are all. You are my everything. I recognize that there is no other way to God except through You. Help me always to remain in You. Help me to live and breathe and move and work every minute of every day in complete surrender to You. I recognize that the only way to truly be a slave of God is to be Your servant. Help me live my life in submission to You.
Have you ever heard of TeenServe?
I haven’t. Just looked it up and it appears to be a cross between a youth camp and a missions trip, both things I believe in strongly.
Well written. I do enjoy reading your thoughts.
This made a good read.
Although I want to clarify one point here as a Muslim. The first pillar of Islam is the shahadah, that is to testify that there is no god but Allah and Mohammad is the “messenger” of Allah.
Muslims don’t take the Prophet peace be upon him as a god at all. We also believe in Jesus as a prophet of Allah. He has been mentioned in the Quran and I like reading about his miracles that he could with the help of Allah.
I hope I haven’t offended you in any way. As a Muslim I respect all prophets and all religions. Its beautiful to learn about all religions and clarify any misunderstandings about them.
Peace 🙂
No I am not offended. I live in a Muslim country and work with Muslims every day. We get into some really great discussions all the time and quite often we will civilly “agree to disagree”. While I respect many within Islam, I do not see Muhammad as a prophet. Even still, there is much good in what Muhammad said. For example, He said that the Bible is the word of God. (Surah 2:87, 3:3, 4:163, 5:46) He also said that the words of God cannot be altered. (6:34, 6:115, 10:64)
So any good Muslim, if they are to obey the Quran, will study and learn the uncorrupted scriptures (the Taurat and the Incil) for themselves. That is why I am glad you are here and I hope, inshallah, you will continue to contribute and discuss in the future.
God Bless.
Sure in sha Allah I will continue reading your posts 🙂
No wonder the post picture says “love” in Arabic !
Not a Muslim, but I was about to say something similar. I was of the same impression, based on what I have read and who I have talked to over the years. Jesus is a Prophet. Mohammed was a prophet and no more a God than Buddha was to Buddhists. (well, except for some sects of the religion, but I digress.) It is always easier, looking from the outside in, to generalize concepts like ‘God’. When it is always more complicated.
I have met my fair share of Christians that believe that Jesus IS God. And that has always confused me. No matter what scripture that they back it up with… Need I say more?
Thank you for sharing your perspective on this.
So right !
I completely agree with your point.
Yeah Bible doesn’t support their belief(that Jesus is God).
I listen to a lot of lectures by Ahmad deedat and Dr. Zakir naik (both are experts on comparative religion) and this has enlightened me about other religions too.
Thankyou for sharing your point of view on this!
Stay blessed 🙂
I am not sure how anyone can read the New Testament, the incil, and *not* see how it claims over and over that Jesus is God.

This is at Beejai. I meant no offense. Sorry if I spoke out of turn. I simply felt it was an unfair generalization. I enjoy reading your interpretations. But, with this one in particular, I am still sorting out the logic presented. So I will bow out of the discussion for now until I gather my thoughts. I just wanted to relay my apologies. Thank you again for your wonderful, thought-provoking, posts. 🙂
You’re fine. Take your time, I look forward to your response.
