These were the type of guys David gathered around him. They weren’t the cream of the crop. The weren’t the best or the greatest. They weren’t mighty men. At least, they weren’t there yet.
I am a murderer. Not in a legal sense, no. I do not have to worry about any statute of limitations and have no need to try and bury any evidence to prevent experiencing an extended stay at my local penitentiary. Actually, I have much bigger things to worry about.
They dedicated everything they were to knowing and being ready for when the Kingdom came… but when it did, they were not ready. They did not recognize it. Will we be guilty of doing the same?
