How much money do I need to be happy?
We just don’t call it bribes anymore. Lobbying is a much more sanitized word. And obviously, it works. There wouldn’t be over 3 billion dollars a year spent by certain interests to make sure certain politicians voted they way they wanted them to if it wasn’t working.
When it comes to money, I don’t think Jesus cared much about it.
What amount of money does it take to live?
What does it mean to be rich? Am I rich? Are you?
If ever there was a group who would rightly be able to say “not my leader” it was the first century Jews. But what did Jesus say to them? What do we today owe our president?
There wouldn’t be over 3 billion dollars a year spent by certain interests to make sure certain politicians voted they way they wanted them to if it wasn’t working. Rich people and successful businesses didn’t get where they are by making stupid investments. It should come as no surprise that in the last three USA presidential elections (at least) the candidate who raised and spent the most won. Bribes work.
Tithing is not an option, it is a necessity… and it is not about money.
