Down through time, the study of history was usually little more than the study of how great men changed and shaped the world around them.

We love heroic stands against overwhelming odds. We cheer on defiant charges against insurmountable opponents. Win, lose, or draw, facing the impossible is the stuff of which legends are born.
As minor as they seem, these problems are my problems right in the moment and I could sure use a ray of sunshine in my life.
Tens of thousands have heard that question “What Would Jesus Do” and given everything they have to live out the answer.
Besides, who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine…

Men don’t ask for directions. In fact, they shun them. We know where we are going… even when we don’t.
It is a hard line to walk to balance my pragmatism and my dreams. If I swing too far to one side I fall into complaining. If I go too far to the other, I step into complacency.
