What does Christmas look like in your corner of the world?
It isn’t every day when one of heaven’s warriors shows up on the scene and says he has an announcement just for us. Maybe the kings and the rabbis get treatment like that, (OK probably not this king) but who are we to get such a visit.
It is Sunday night and I still haven’t started doing my homework assignment my teacher gave us on Friday. At first, I thought it would be easy. She told us to write out our Christmas wish list. We are supposed to write down the ten things that we want the most. Piece of cake. Except… it isn’t.
Host – Hello ladies and gentlemen. We’re here at Straight Talk with a roundtable of some of the biggest legends of Christmas. To my right, I have Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Reindeer. On my left, I am joined by the infamous Grinch and George Bailey, and across from me is none other than Mr. Santa Claus himself. I would like to thank you all for coming and joining us tonight.
Two years ago, when Christmas was getting close, that do-gooder, Amy got all bratty and tried to tell me that Santa doesn’t even exist. Serially? Everybody knows Santa is real! Where do you think all those presents come from?
This year I am Joseph. No, I am not really Joseph, I am Mauricio Arenas. My wife really is Mary. Well, she’s Maria but that is close enough. Our daughter, Esperanza, gets to play the role of Jesus.
The thing that I really love about this truth when it comes to Christmas is that there are some very unique smells I associate with the holiday season.
