I remember reading a while back an old article that used the early Batman TV show as an example of how violent television was becoming… The author who wrote the negative article about that show would have a heart attack watching the violence on Saturday morning cartoons in our generation, but we don’t even bat an eyelash.
You aren’t very good at determining what other people want and need from you. No one is. We’re all as likely to hurt as to help.
I hate snow.
The hyssop was a tool that demonstrated that life can begin again after the tragedy of death has struck. It is a tool that washes what it touches so that those who have become unclean need not remain so forever.
Jesus is the only one who, once dead, raised Himself back to life. His visit to the grave was a short one. He was just making a delivery (my sin), and doing some vandalism (kicked down the gates) and theft (the keys).

Sin is what comes out of disobedience to produce separation from God. It is us being at war with God. Whether it is something as drastic as murder or as commonplace as lying and pride, the causes and effects of these sins are the same.
All too often I get bogged down in the day to day of life and I’m only living from one problem, or task, or crisis to the next.
