Walking Through 2020

Someone ate a bat in China, and as a result, everyone in the world had to go to their rooms for three months but that still didn’t stop the spread of a virus with some thirty million cases and nearly one million fatalities and counting. As far as years go… 2020 hasn’t been so hot.

Jesus is God

May 16 – I AM

My head says “yes” to these I am statements of Jesus, but does my life really back that up? Is Jesus my bread of Life? Or do I look to other sources for my provision? Is he the light through which I see my world? Or is he merely a tack on, an afterthought to my life?

Fear Is Not A Factor

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. The Arrival

But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus. (2 Corinthians 7:6) Read: Ecclesiastes 4:1-6:12, 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:7, Psalm 47:1-9, Proverbs 22:16 Relate: There are a few people I know that everybody just loves being around. Faithful With The Now

Read: Ecclesiastes 1:1-3:22, Corinthians 6:1-13, Psalm 46:1-11, Proverbs 22:15 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) Relate: Five dollars a day. I’m 40(ish) years old. If I were to put away five dollars a day every day into an account like an IRA or 401K, by the time I was…

His Thunder Roars

Read: Job 37:1-39:30, 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:10, Psalm 44:9-26, Proverbs 22:13 God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power. (Job 37:5) Relate: Part of growing up in a big family was that we tended to have big vans. Some little minivan wouldn’t have fit all of us. No, we had a…
