| BombsI don’t normally send out more than one email a month because I don’t ever want these prayer updates to feel like spam. But right now my sleepy heart is so bursting with gratitude I can’t stop myself. I am also typing this from my phone on two hours of sleep and sketchy internet, so please forgive any poor grammar or typos.
Many of you have been praying for me over the last couple of days because of all the attacks. I know because many of you have DM’d me to tell me so. Since the end of the May 9 ceasefire, Russia has launched 1560 drones, 80 guided missiles, and 56 ballistic missiles at Ukraine. Our students have spent more than half the day doing classes from the shelter. But the school is safe, and all the students and families are safe. There has been nothing for nearly 6 hours now so, God willing, this wave is done.
Even despite all this, our school has been able to host SAT testing and 3 AP tests. So we are not just surviving among ourselves, but being a blessing to the community around us.
BiblesSpeaking of blessing, our 5th grade math teacher is a missionary who is part of a team that has been given permission to distribute Ukrainian language Bibles into 38 schools in the Kyiv area. Despite all that has been coming down, they have been able to distribute 1285 Bibles over the past 3 days. Please pray that God’s Word will not return void and that they will continue to receive favor as they continue this outreach.
Believers
In my April and May normal updates, I asked you to pray for my 1st to 3rd grade Bible class as we are nearing the end of our walk through the gospel of John. There are 11 students in that class. Near the end of our talk about the cross, 9 of them raised their hands to express a desire for God to forgive their sins and to surrender the rest of their lives to Him. To the best of my knowledge, 5 of them for the first time. Let’s party with the angels! They are all young, but none of them too young to begin a lifetime walk with our Savior. Thank you so much to all of you who have been praying for them and for me. It is by far the most precious thing you could ever give. I need it, and I treasure it.
But now… I also need to sign off and get some overdue sleep.
Forever His Servant,
BJ Richardson

Thank you for sharing. This believer just got a reality check on the subject of complaining. I’ve been praying for you and your ministry since I first read your blog. I will share this prayer request in my small group at church today
