You, O God, are my king from ages past, bringing salvation to the earth.
(Psalms 74:12)
Relate: As we live our daily lives, we go through many different things every day. Sometimes our days can be absolutely amazing, everything will work like planned and everything can be perfect. But life is not always like that. Some days, opening your eyes in the morning could be utterly miserable. Life is not just a peaceful, wide-open field. It is more like a rollercoaster that has ups and downs. However, through this life, we have to remember that God is with us.
God has created this world for you and me. He has kept all of his promises with Adam, Noah, Abraham and many more people. Yet, God has promised us certainty and assurance of salvation. He has been the king for the past hundreds of years and still is our king, the King of kings. And just like Asaph’s praises, he has brought salvation to the earth.
React: We should not doubt our God, who has been around all people. He has promised us and brought salvation to the earth. Even when there are times that we might doubt the situations and even God, we should once again remember that God was, is, and will still be our King. So when there are times that we might be a bit doubtful, we should pray and read the word of God.
Respond:
Heavenly Father,
I pray for this day, please help this day to be a day that we could get closer to you. Please help us open our hearts and minds to you and meet you today. Just like how you revealed yourself in the Bible and made promises with those people, please reveal yourself to us. How would you fail us if you had been so faithful throughout generations? I believe in your faithfulness. Let this day be another day that we could embarrass your love and overflow this love to those around us. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
