The Fruit of Wisdom

By: Caleb

Read: NUMBERS 10:1-11:23, MARK 14:1-21, PSALM 51:1-19, PROVERBS 10:31-32

From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom,
but a perverse tongue will be silenced.
(Proverbs 10:31)

Relate: I have not really seen this exactly, but there have been instances where this verse can come into play. I have seen strong believers give good wisdom and have seen what that can do, but I have also seen how someone with a dirty mouth has little to no influence or input in conversations because of how people see who they are.

React: I feel like this verse should have a major impact on how we live our lives. We should live pure and righteous lives so that we can give good advice and wisdom to others, and through this, we should avoid having a perverse tongue because having a dirty mouth does you no good in the real world.

Respond:

Dear Lord,
Help me to be focused on you, help me to think of only You and not of evil worldly things. Lord, help me keep my mouth and thoughts clean and help me speak only wisdom through Your spirit. Lord, thank You for giving us the ability to be righteous through You. In Jesus name,
Amen
