The Wisdom Of Many

By Anna

Read: Numbers 24:1-25:18, Luke 2:1-35, Psalm 59:1-17, Proverbs 11:14

Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.
Proverbs 11:14

Relate:
Proverbs is written by King Solomon who is a wise leader who is full of wisdom from God. When God tells him he can ask one thing from God he chooses to have wisdom. As the story of the Bible goes on, King Solomon uses his wisdom from God to lead his nation in becoming more and more powerful. Even though Solomon already had powerful wisdom from God, he still had helpers and he listened to the advice from the people around him. Just like proofreading an essay. When it comes to a highly weighted paper, you would always look for a more proficient writer to read over and check for errors. After all the proofreading and editing you would feel more safe in getting a better result. So, that’s how “there is safety in having many advisers” could be done in our lives.

React:
So, in our present life, there are always difficulties to overcome. The teachers in school could be wise leaders, pastors in the church or a spiritual wilderness could also be wise leaders to ask advice from. With all the wise advice a “nation” won’t fail, however, it is also important to be able to determine whether the advice is helping or destroying.

Respond:

Dear God,
Please be the wise leader in our life, because you are the only one who is justice. Give us wisdom to face the difficulties in our lives, and provide us with wise advisors.
Amen
