In God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?
Psalm 56:11
Relate:
After David was anointed king by God, he began a life of being chased by men and suffering everywhere, falling to a low point, with no place to live and no way out. But it was all arranged and allowed by God because God wanted David to learn and accept suffering. God recorded his misery and listed his tears on the scroll, and David ended up being God’s powerful shield and weapon.
React:
I know that no matter what circumstances and sufferings I go through in my life, as long as I keep myself connected to God, as long as I trust that He is by my side, I will always be able to look beyond the current suffering. I can see what I am going through with a larger perspective. It is what God has made me go through, and it is all in His plan. It is his custom for me to be a good servant and work for Him, and whether I am feeling good or bad now, I will not be afraid. Only God can decide everything about me, and the interference of others is only the path He has planned for me to achieve my purpose.
Respond:
Dear God,
I pray here, knowing that You know that everything, including my life is in your hands. You will prepare the perfect path for me. What I have been through before and when I see it again in the future, I will know that it will all be worth it.
Amen.

“he began a life of being chased by men and suffering everywhere” —- This sets up others as having no honor in the eyes of the sufferer as the others are not investing in the sufferer and having that person’s back. So when the suffering is over, who gets to rightfully share in the spoils? Not that the sufferer can’t share the spoils anyway, but there is no expected expectation to share with those that didn’t help the sufferer through the suffering, right? Or am I wrong in seeing things this way.
