The Very First Words

The very first thing written in the entire New Testament are these words: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

The Little Brother

was the second child. Apparently, there is a diagnosable syndrome for this. I guess that means there’s also some medication to combat it, counselors who specialize in it, and who knows… maybe I am eligible for some affirmative action type benefits? Where do I sign up?

I was in a prayer meeting in Binghamton when the vision and idea for The River Walk was born. This was way back in September way back in 2012. I had moved back to Binghamton in large part to join a team planting Two Rivers Church. I and that church have gone our separate ways…

Grandma Got Run Over

It was a dark and snowy night. It had not been so bad when Mildred left her daughter’s house about twenty minutes before. The storm seemed to come up out of nowhere. By now she should have made it home, taken her medication, and have been well on her way to bed.
