God’s Favor

The situations and circumstances in our life are not evidence of God’s favor and blessing. It is the way he enables us to respond to those situations and circumstances of life that demonstrate His hand on us.

The Fear of God

It wouldn’t be worthy of respect if I could kick the dog without fear of retaliation. In the same way, when we do evil or dishonor God, of course there will be consequences. The power and goodness of God demand it. By definition, we should and do have a fear, a healthy reverence of God.

You shot me!

It hurts to be shot in the heart by those we love and trust. Sometimes it is their fault (betrayal), sometimes it is ours (their reaction to the same), and sometimes it is just the circumstances of life or its ending that is shooting us in the heart.

In The Little Things

God doesn’t just want to be Lord over the big things in our life. When death is staring us right in the face, it is easy to cry out to Him… What about those small things?

Didn’t Hit The Landing

Without Limit

Jesus spoke to demons and they fled. He spoke to dead girls and they sat up. He spoke to blind eyes, and they opened. He spoke to lepers and they were cured. He gave thanks to God and five thousand men (plus uncounted women and children) were fed from one little kid’s snack. Jesus speaks to sinners and they are forgiven. He is still speaking.
