Everything God creates is good. The problem is, what God creates, people disfigure. Every single time I sin, I am marring the beauty God has created. Sometimes that disfigurement only happens inside my own soul. Other times my sin forever changes the course of someone else’s life.

It wouldn’t be worthy of respect if I could kick the dog without fear of retaliation. In the same way, when we do evil or dishonor God, of course there will be consequences. The power and goodness of God demand it. By definition, we should and do have a fear, a healthy reverence of God.
The devil doesn’t get a day.
The problem is not just that we are prone to do evil. The problem is that we embrace evil as good and celebrate our sin as something worthy to be praised.
Every society feels as though they have reached the pinnacle of moral philosophy and the cultural ideas they are trumpeting today are so much greater than the backward thinking of yesteryear.
God is always there with us, no matter what we are going through.
