Sometimes I think it is cute how warped our traditional story of Christmas is.
There is a sound to Christmas and this is it.
All around the world there are millions of people who for thousands of reasons of poverty, oppression and injustice are crying out for a Savior to come. Two thousand years ago He came incarnated in a little baby. This year He still comes, incarnated in you.

Honestly, “Walking in a winter wonderland” is not by any stretch of my imagination a fun thing to do. Glistening snow is beautiful to look at from inside a warm house, but certainly not when you are walking in it. Those little white flakes of evil falling down will never be a “beautiful sight” that makes me “happy tonight” and it is certainly not something in which I want to “frolic and play the eskimo way”.

Are we joining in with creation in rejoicing that the incarnated Son is on the throne? The Savior reigns. In those three short words is packed so much beautiful theology. Is it in you?
