God is *obviously* for the Yankees, the Syracuse Orangemen, republicans, and America. Anyone who disagrees is clearly a heretic.
He had to step in, and then God provided the miracle, and each time he stepped out further, that miracle grew.
Each of us has things God has called us to do. Each of us have unique talents and gifts that God can use in unique ways. Each of us are leaders if only we would step out of the boat.
Jesus saying that nothing can snatch His sheep from His hands is a declaration of love. We do Him a disservice and completely miss the point when we reduce it to a theological proposition.
Let us not just look at our accomplishments but rather how well those accomplishments line up to our potential.
I am grateful for the Law. It is like a flashlight shining on those darker spots in my life I would rather ignore. It is a witness against me.
Jesus visibly identifies with the poor in order to teach a lesson to the religious. He broke etiquette because they would not break through socioeconomic walls. Are we willing to do the same?
Every society feels as though they have reached the pinnacle of moral philosophy and the cultural ideas they are trumpeting today are so much greater than the backward thinking of yesteryear.
When we pray two things are happening. We are participating in bringing heaven to down earth and we are participating in lifting earth to up heaven.
