The Word Spoken

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see – such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
Colossians 1:15-17

Read: Jeremiah 2:31-4:18, Colossians 1:1-17, Psalm 76:1-12, Proverbs 24:21-22

Relate: How powerful is a word? Like all of creation, I am linear. I am only able to move through time in one direction. So I was not there when the first word was spoken. I can only imagine what it would have been like to hear that word as it rang out, “Let there be light” and then from nothing, something, which then expanded into everything at speeds incomprehensible to my angelic mind. Though the universe continues to expand today, the rate at which it did in those few seconds, minutes, and days is beyond any mind but the Almighty’s to truly grasp.

I was not there for the first word, but I was for the second. Though I heard His voice, I was nowhere near the speaking when God spoke on the second day. None of His angels, until that moment, had any idea that God was going to take a special interest in one liquid, molten ball of rock orbiting an average-sized star a good way out in a galaxy that was in no noticeably way different from most of the other billions of galaxies. But then God spoke and on that piece of liquid rock, an atmosphere began to form. Later God spoke again and solid ground began to take shape as this little planet cooled. Then again, on that third day, impossibly, life began to form. On the fourth day, if it had the sentience to recognize it, that life would have been able to recognize that the atmosphere had cleared up enough for the sun, moon, and stars to be distinguished.

At each step in creation, a word was spoken. “Let there be…” That word is Christ. It is through that same word that everything is still held together. He existed with God since the beginning, and yet He is God Himself. I have had a few billion years to ponder this concept and yet it still eludes me. Understanding the true nature of God is as beyond me as grasping His power, or His wisdom, or His goodness, or His…

React: Grace. That Word became flesh. The very Word which created and sustains all the universe took on the form of a stupid and foolish species that had the audacity to rebel against Him. The love and grace demonstrated in this act defies understanding or explanation. The power set to set aside power in a rescue attempt on a people who voluntarily enslaved themselves and, for the most part, don’t even want freedom… this is the greatness of a God who is far beyond my feeble understanding. All I can do is cry out again, and again for all of eternity: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive all our power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise.”

Respond:

Dear God,
You are the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. You are the creator and sustainer of me. The fact that You who breathe out stars would then form me by hand blows away my understanding of my worth. That You would then lay aside Your power and glory to come and live and die… for me. What else can I do but give You everything I have back in my feeble attempt at worship?
Amen

“God was going to take a special interest in one liquid, molten ball of rock orbiting an average-sized star a good way out in a galaxy that was in no noticeably way different from most of the other billions of galaxies.”

There is evidence that this small rock is not so much the orphan we have come to believe. A physicist Albert Abraham Michelson in 1880 chose to prove that the Earth revolves around the sun. In his endeavor, by experiment and which to this day stands irrefutable, to prove it so, instead discovered that it is quite the opposite. The earth IS motionless. And to add more fuel to the fire of controversy she(the earth) is located in the middle of the universe. This has been proved by empirical data gathered from space probes.

Not to belabor this point. But I think it important I leave you with the following info: NASA’s COBE (1989), WMAP (2001) and PLANCK (2009) satellites were initially sent out to find proof of evidence of the Big Bang by measuring the cosmic microwave background (CMB) as a uniform energy fallout across space (isotropic energy dispersal). After analyzing the data in 2013 was concluded that the satellite probes showed the map of the universe was not a uniform dispersal of stars in chaos but had galaxies aligned in seven known concentric circles each 250 million light years apart “along the axis of the Earth and across its equator.”
A lot to digest I know. But important because it reveals an orderly universe not one in chaos. And anything coming from God cannot be chaotic but orderly. This incorrect notion of things cosmic explains why our societies are so conflicted. We may have fashioned our civilization from the wrong model of all things.

    • Michaelson did not set about to prove the earth revolved around the sun but rather the existence of ether. He tried to demonstrate it by showing that the speed of light differs when moving in different directions but he actually found out the exact opposite. *If ether exists* as was commonly believed at the time, the only possible explanation for this was that the Copernican model was wrong and the earth actually is the center of the universe. It took Einstein and the Theory of Special Relativity to finally nail the coffin in that idea. Ether does not exist and thus the earth is not motionless in space.

      • Aether, being the medium filling space, is not electromagnetic in itself. Neither is Aether is luminous. It wears waves propagating at the mean quadratic speed of the particles it is made of! And these waves do have electromagnetic effects by moving electric charges in the conductors. In the same way, theses waves are produced by the motion of charges and bodies. The waves carried by Aether are emitted by the motions of the electrons and they oscillate these electrons. These oscillations create electromagnetic fields. Light and gravity can be explained based on Aether as the medium that fills space. – Jean de Climont (2018)

    • With regard to the satellites… They were not setting out to “find” or “discover” the cosmic microwave background. That was first detected back in the sixties and its existence hasn’t been seriously questioned since. They were sent out to learn more about it. To give us more precise details like to give us a more precise reading of its temperature (COBE) or to verify and record its apparent fluctuations (WMAP) and to better distinguish it from source emissions coming from within the Milky Way (Planck).
Back in the late nineties a guy named Timothy Clifton proposed what is called the void theory. Basically, the Earth is in the center of a special region of space in which is distinct from the rest of the known universe. Your concentric galaxies idea is a fringe variation of this theory that purports to be born from the data we have received from these probes. Some physicists and mathematicians examined and rejected the possibility of the Void theory in light of the data received by these probes. https://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.101.251303
