Relate: One of the beautiful things about living in another country is the opportunity to become immersed in an entirely new culture and language. It is so eye opening as it challenges me to differentiate between what I believe because it is God’s truth and what I believe because it is part of the cultural presuppositions I have been raised in. Sometimes, especially in the language learning, it can be incredibly frustrating. And sometimes it can be pure, beautiful worship. Yesterday I had the opportunity to be a part of a community of believers as we lifted up our voices in worship sometimes in English and sometimes in Turkish. Using both languages adds a depth and richness to that worship I cannot adequately describe in words. Instead, I am going to fall back on something I have done here at the River Walk a couple times before. Let us join the world in singing praise to our Father…
